Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced RN for the Cardiology/Pacemaker-ICD Clinic to manage the nursing process and deliver patient-centered care. The role targets nurses with strong cardiac and device management background.

The position involves in-clinic device checks, remote monitoring review, and close collaboration with cardiology teams to ensure timely follow-up and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Pacemaker/ICD clinic.
• RN with cardiac care and device management experience.
• Licensed RN in the state; Bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform/in-clinic device checks and interrogations.
• Monitor remote device transmissions and escalate abnormal findings.
• Assess patients for symptoms, arrhythmias, and device complications.
• Educate patients and families on device care, monitoring, activity and warning signs.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, device reps and care teams.
• Coordinate follow-up care and share device information across settings.
• Document evaluations, findings, interventions and follow-up plans.
• Support safe, high-quality patient-centered care in Cardiology/Pacemaker-ICD Clinic.

About This Role

The RN in the Pacemaker ICD Clinic is responsible for managing all aspects of the nursing process and delivering patient-centered care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses with a strong background in cardiac care and device management.

• Schedule: Part-Time, Day shift

What You'll Do

• Perform and/or assist with in-clinic device checks and interrogations.
• Monitor and review remote device transmissions and alerts, escalating abnormal findings as appropriate.
• Assess patients for symptoms, arrhythmias, and potential device-related complications.
• Provide patient and family education regarding device care, remote monitoring, activity, and symptoms requiring medical attention.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, device representatives, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate follow-up care and communicate device-related information across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Document device evaluations, clinical findings, interventions, and follow-up plans accurately and timely.
• Support the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within the hospital's Cardiology/Pacemaker-ICD Clinic.

Requirements

Education

• Other Certificate/Diploma in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working in a Pacemaker/ICD clinic

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse [RN - State License] required
