Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, OR is seeking an experienced registered nurse to deliver patient-centered care across the care continuum, in person and by phone, with a commitment to advocacy and quality outcomes. The role is full-time, day shift, in Sunnybrook Medical Offices - Day Surgery Pre/Post-Op.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years RN experience in acute or ambulatory care and hold an Oregon RN license with ACLS/PALS/BLS as listed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two (2) years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory care/clinic setting within the last five (5) years.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in Critical Care.
  • Oregon RN License.
  • ACLS required at hire.
  • PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS.
  • Moderate Sedation Competency required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based, clinically competent nursing care in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Plan, implement, manage, coordinate, and evaluate a plan of care across the care continuum.
  • Utilize appropriate assessment tools, processes, clinical pathways, and guidelines to manage patient care.
  • Perform and modify therapeutic and preventive nursing measures and administer treatments and medications.
  • Participate in outreach and in-reach activities to meet clinical targets.
  • Collaborate with Team Leader and Manager in setting quality standards for nursing care.
  • Mentor new staff and assist with orientation and staff development needs.
  • Document the nursing care provided which demonstrates the application of the nursing process.
  • Apply effective oral and written communication skills in interacting with patients and families.
  • Facilitate coordination of care across all settings with particular attention to transitional needs.

Requirements

Education:

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory care/clinic setting within the last five (5) years
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in Critical Care

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support
  • Moderate Sedation Competency required within 6 months of hire
