Job summary

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, OR is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated outpatient nursing care in a clinic setting and supervise nursing staff. You will coordinate care with other disciplines, using professional judgment and critical thinking.

The role requires a BSN preferred, RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification; WA-RN and ACLS/ARC-ALS may be required depending on assignment. This is a full-time day-shift position within AHCG.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice is required.
• CPR or BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy is required
• BLS certification is required (Basic Life Support) per AH policy
• WA-RN: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required

Responsibilities

• Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
• Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
• Prepares patient, room, and equipment for surgical procedures and assists physician with minor surgery. Performs additional procedures as directed.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
• Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Hospital or physician's office experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications
