Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland is seeking an RN for our Orthopedics unit to provide high-quality postoperative care for adult orthopedic patients, including hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty cases. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• External applicants must have two years recent related nursing experience.
• Internal applicants with less than two years' experience but post orientation /90‑day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval.
• Will consider licensed military RN experience.

The H70 Orthopedic Unit is a 34-bed medical surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capacity specializing in caring for adult post-operative orthopedic patients, including those recovering from total hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty, revision surgeries, fractures, sarcoma resection, joint infections, osteomyelitis, avascular necrosis and other complex orthopedic conditions. In addition to orthopedic patients, the unit also provides care for overflow patients from areas such as General Internal Medicine, the Neurological Institute and Department of General Surgery.

We are seeking a compassionate, self‑motivated, adaptable RN who is an effective communicator, demonstrates strong time‑management skills, and is committed to delivering excellent patient-centered care.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.

A caregiver in this position works rotating day/night shifts, from 7:00am - 7:30pm or 7:00pm - 7:30am. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
