Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for our hospital to ensure that we deliver exceptional care to our Med‑Surg patients. Responsibilities

• Accountable for essential clinical knowledge that positively affects patient outcomes within the scope of nursing practice while assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating care.
• Display strong and accurate clinical judgment and expert‑nursing skills while following company policies including those related to confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic, and digital).
• Report critical patient information or changes in condition in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness that includes pain assessment and reassessment.
• Document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care for an effective and current plan of care.

Requirements

• Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
• Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi‑state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA (required)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor; must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• BSN or enrollment in an accredited BSN program (preferred)
• Current licensure as an RN in Virginia or multi‑state compact license (required)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
