Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Med/Surg 5N Unit. The 24-bed unit serves adult to geriatric orthopedic, medical and surgical patients requiring acute care. Self-schedule: Full Time Days with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 to 7, rotating weekends.

The unit uses the Together Care Team Model, including Virtual RNs, bedside RNs and CNAs, offering growth into Emergency Room or Critical Care and a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications

• A current RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required (ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with health care team in ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• In addition to hands-on nursing care, works in a broad range of capacities including delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and family.

POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS:

Saint Alphonsus is looking to hire a RN (Registered Nurse) for our Orthopedic Med/Surg 5N Unit in Boise, Idaho. This unit has 24 beds caring for a mixture of orthopedic, medical and surgical patients that range from adult to geriatrics patients that require acute care for various illness and injuries.

Self-Schedule: Full Time Days. Three 12-hour shifts per week. 7 to 7. Rotating Weekends

The unit operates under the Together Care Team Model, which includes Virtual RNs, bedside RNs, and CNAs, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. This structure not only enhances patient care but also presents significant opportunities for professional growth into other specialties, such as Emergency Room and Critical Care.

What You Will Do

Minimum Requirements

• A current RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
