Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across all patient ages. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while upholding standards of practice and coordinating activities of nursing staff.

Candidates should have an accredited nursing degree, be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or hold an NLC/eNCL multistate license, and possess BCLS certification. New graduates are welcome, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Nursing degree (Bachelor's) preferred.
• RN license required and BCLS certification on active status.
• Advanced specialty certification desired where applicable.

Job description

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
