Longhorn Village is actively seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver direct nursing care within a 24-hour operation in Austin, Texas. The RN will administer medications, perform treatments, and document care while supervising nursing assistants and supporting daily living activities for residents.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license, communicates courteously, and demonstrates flexibility, integrity, and teamwork in a geriatric care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Texas with current credentials.
• Ability to communicate courteously with residents, families and staff.
• Experience in geriatric care or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a 24-hour operation.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Record vital signs and care documentation accurately.
• Supervise nursing assistants and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and transfers.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized unit; ensure OSHA standards are met.

The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative, and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.Position Summary:The staff nurse provides direct nursing care to residents in a 24 hour operation and delegates and supervises the care provided by nursing assistants.
