Kaiser Permanente is seeking an RN First Assist in Clackamas, OR to support the surgical team during intra-operative care. This full-time role offers hourly pay in the range of $59–$87, reflecting experience and credentials.

Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, assisting during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, post-operative evaluation, and ensuring continuity of care across the surgical team. ADN required; Oregon RN license required; experienced candidates preferred.

• Perform pre-operative assessment and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the surgical team on the plan of care.
• Provide technical assistance to the surgeon during operative procedures.
• Handle and/or cut tissue, providing hemostasis as directed by the surgeon.
• Suture as directed by the surgeon.
• Evaluate the patient post-operatively according to facility protocols.
• Communicate information to maintain continuity of care.
• Function as an assistant in all surgical specialties at the direction of the attending surgeon.
• Assist with room preparation in collaboration with the Circulating Nurse and scrub person.
• Monitor free counted items on the sterile field and observe for breaks in sterile technique.
