Job Description

Position Summary

The OR Nurse is responsible for preparing the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures by ensuring that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely; by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique; anticipating the needs of the surgical team based on knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how they relate to the surgical patient and the patient’s procedure.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing
• Current RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS required.

Preferences

• CNOR preferred.
• Operating room experience preferred.
• ACL S preferred.
