Job summary

AdventHealth in Dade City, FL is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a full-time role. You will assess, plan, implement, and document care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety and quality throughout the patient’s stay.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS, NIHSS, and at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience with preference for surgery. The job offers a $10k sign-on bonus and opportunities for clinical ladder-based salary

Responsibilities

Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Document patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
Performs other duties as assigned.
