RN – OR Circulator

Location: Specialty Bakersfield (AHSB) – Day Shift – 4x10's. Must have experience with Vinci robot (General) Mako Robot.

Type: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary.

In-Office | Bakersfield, CA, United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical circulator duties during operations, ensuring patient safety and flow.
• Collaborate with the OR team to prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist anesthesia team with patient monitoring and communication during surgery.
• Adhere to sterile technique and infection control standards consistently.
• Document intraoperative details accurately in patient records.
• Identify and manage equipment malfunctions promptly, coordinating with biomedical staff.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset by pursuing ongoing professional development and certifications.
• Maintain high visibility of work activity and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the applicable state.
• Current perioperative or operating room circulator certification preferred.
• Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Minimum 2 years OR circulator or scrub experience.
• Ability to monitor patient status and communicate with the anesthesia team.
• Technical aptitude to identify and escalation equipment malfunctions.
• Understanding of OR throughput, scheduling, and pipeline metrics.
• Strong documentation skills for intraoperative records.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and certifications.
• Excellent patient and family communication with a compassionate bedside manner.
