Job summary

Cherry County Hospital in Valentine, Nebraska is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Services team as an OR Circulator. This rural Critical Access Hospital role supports a variety of procedures and offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality perioperative care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and technologists.

You will circulate during diverse surgeries, participate in pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, and share on-call

Qualifications

• Nebraska RN license required with BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS preferred; OR circulating experience preferred.
• PACU/post-anesthesia recovery experience preferred; strong clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as RN Circulator for diverse surgical procedures.
• Provide perioperative care from pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists.
• Assist with endoscopic, orthopedic, ophthalmology, ENT, OB/GYN, general surgery, urology, GI, podiatry, and pediatric dentistry procedures.
• Participate in pre-, intra-, and post-operative and PACU patient care.
• Share rotating on-call responsibilities with equitable weekend/holiday coverage.
• Practice within AORN standards and Nebraska Board of Nursing regulations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and possession of a license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Nebraska. Neonatal Resuscitation Program , ACLS, and BLS certified.
