Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN - OR Circulator in California to join a busy hospital operating room.

You will assist surgeons and anesthesiologists, coordinate equipment and staff, prepare patients, and ensure aseptic technique throughout perioperative care.

The role requires RN license in state, BLS; CNOR/PALS preferred. Shift is 8 hours with a variable schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of previous full-time experience in the operating room required.
• Current RN license in state of practice required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred; CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• The RN - OR Circulator assists surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures.
• Coordinates the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
• Participation in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.

The RN - OR Circulator assists surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures.They coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.The position requires participation in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.

Essential Functions:The RN is competent to circulate in the operating room during surgical procedures.They demonstrate knowledge of and consistently apply principles of aseptic technique.The RN is capable of safely operating all equipment routinely utilized in the operating room.They prepare patients for surgery, including safe and appropriate anatomical positioning.The RN performs pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment following established criteria.They handle and dispose of biohazardous materials safely from operative procedures.The RN accesses facility information systems to retrieve and utilize pertinent information for patient care or other job-related responsibilities.They demonstrate knowledge and skills to fulfill job-specific responsibilities related to patient safety, security, and emergency preparedness.The RN documents the temperature of tissue/allografts, verifies package integrity, and delivers items to the sterile field.They efficiently use down time for job-related tasks, including chart auditing, cleaning, restocking, and training.The RN performs other job-related duties as assigned.
