Job summary

Speare Memorial Hospital's Speare Surgical Services Unit in Plymouth, NH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on days. The team handles Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, OB/GYN, General surgery and Endoscopy, with about 40–50 cases per week.

Responsibilities include circulating nurse duties, direct patient care, and ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 years of current Operating Room experience.
• Circulating nurse experience is required; scrub experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in surgeries such as Orthopedic, General, Endoscopic, Sports Medicine, Gyn, and C-Sections.
• Experience with total joints is required.
• Previous travel experience is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

6:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Thursday with on-call responsibilities including 1 weekend/month and 3-4 nights/week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will join the Speare Surgical Services Unit, which includes 2 Operating Rooms and 1 Endoscopy Suite. You will be part of a team handling a diverse range of surgeries, including Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Obstetrics/Gynecology, General surgery, and Endoscopy, with an average of 40-50 cases per week.

• Serve as a circulating nurse, supporting various surgical procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
