Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in New Mexico seeks an OR RN for a 13-week assignment. 8-hour days, M-F, floating across departments within 20 miles; requires 2+ years in a large OR and a prior 13-week travel assignment. NM or Compact license and BLS are required; must scrub and work well in a fast-paced team setting. Epic experience preferred and flexibility a must.

Qualifications

• Two years of current RN experience in a large OR.
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• NM state nursing license or Compact State license.
• BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles to provide direct patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care.
• Coordinates patient care with patient/family and health care team.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders and policy.
• Assumes clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed personnel as needed.

Description:Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy.Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.Epic experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site.Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular experience is a plus.
