AdventHealth in Denver seeks a Registered Nurse for StaffFlex assignments on day shifts, with flexible contract options across hospitals. You will educate patients, document care, and support physicians with procedures while delivering compassionate care.

This role offers travel-friendly opportunities and potential for permanent placement within AdventHealth. Requires an RN license, 2+ years of acute care experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license and two years of nursing experience in an acute setting.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Provide education to patients and families from admission to discharge.
• Document education and patient outcomes; initiate referrals as needed.
• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care and administer medications as ordered.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and manage admissions/transfers.

Job Details

• Provides necessary education to patients and families from admission to discharge, covering medical and nursing care plans, medications, tests, procedures, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
• Documents education provided, including patient responses and outcomes.
• Initiates referrals to healthcare providers as needed.
• Delivers competent, compassionate care to patients in pain according to policy and maintains a safe care environment.
• Administers medications accurately as ordered.
• Responds to unit and hospital code situations.
• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients requiring oxygen support.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures.
• Manages patient admissions, transfers, and discharges professionally.
• Verifies and signs off physician orders and obtains lab specimens as ordered.
• Evaluates the nursing care plan to ensure safe, competent care delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.

Work Experience

• 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. [Required]

• Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) [Preferred]
