Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. The role requires the use of nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while aligning with organizational policies and ensuring professional accountability.

The nurse will maintain standards of practice, coordinate patient care with all assigned staff, and contribute to quality outcomes in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license required or eligible for licensure under Georgia Board of Nursing.

• Provide nursing care to patients across birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, while coordinating activities of assigned staff.

The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
