Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse for oncology to deliver direct patient care guided by ANA standards. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Level Degree (required) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current Connecticut RN license; BLS certification; Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessment and reassessment with documentation of the plan of care and outcomes.
• Follows the five Rights of Medication Administration and documents patient response.
• Coordinates and supervises delivery of nursing care and delegates tasks.
• Maintains accountability for delegated care and promotes a culture of safety.
• Conducts bedside shift reports and rounds with the team at change of shift.
• Documents the nursing process in a responsible, ethical manner.
• Assesses learning needs and provides instruction to patients and families.
