To assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing care and treatment for patients in the assigned oncology clinical area, coordinating operations of chemotherapy regimens, patient scheduling, records, and admission for adult cancer patients. The role includes counseling patients and families, acting as liaison among clinical staff, assisting physicians in research and trials, and addressing patients' physiological and psychological needs.
Exposure to high noise levels, heat and cold, biohazardous conditions, radiation, bloodborne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and toxins. Frequent bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing, crawling, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, twisting, and walking. Occasional work beyond regular hours and travel to off‑site locations.
