Job summary

AVASearchGroup is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Infusion Team in Northern, VA, just south of Centreville. This outpatient, day-shift position offers no on-call or weekend duties and focuses on cutting-edge oncology care.

You will assess and monitor therapy under a physician, perform venipuncture, port access, and maintain central venous devices, while educating patients and families and supporting their needs. Ongoing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with some oncology exposure.
• Infusion experience with cancer medications is highly preferred.
• Oncology certification or willingness to obtain.
• Current RN license in Virginia.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' therapy under physician supervision.
• Perform venipuncture and access implanted ports.
• Maintain central venous access devices.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Participate in ongoing professional education to maintain oncology nursing skills.

About You and Your Experience:

• Be able to do the job as described.


• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, some of it in Oncology


• Infusion experience with experience in cancer medication is highly preferred
