Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an RN for the Observation/Night shift at Greater Heights Hospital to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in delivering patient care using the nursing process.

The role provides professional nursing care, including assessments, exams, treatments, patient education, and maintaining medical records. RNs are hired based on experience levels (RN I–RN IV) to match unit needs and promote safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or compact license to practice professional nursing; BLS certification.
• RN I <1 year; RN II = 1-3 years; RN III = 3-10 years; RN IV = 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient age.
• Coordinates planning for delivery of nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops/implements discharge and/or transfer plans.
• Participates in systematic evaluation of programs, process improvement and client-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and hospital policies; ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors.
