Qualifications

• RN license at hire.
• Associate degree or diploma required; BSN within 4 years if hired without BSN.
• ACLS & PALS are preferred certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to implement care plans.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation in the patient medical record.
• Adheres to safety standards, policies and procedures.
• Maintains competency with equipment relevant to the area, pharmacology and lab values.
• Applies evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and growth.
• Communicates with patients' families and the care team with empathy and professionalism.
