Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is seeking an Observation Unit Registered Nurse in Smyrna, TN. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, following established nursing models and organizational values.

You will document thoroughly and advocate for patients and families. Responsibilities include shift-based assessments, medication administration, prompt response to needs, and patient education.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN preferred).
• BCLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• NIHSS Stroke Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's condition at admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic response, document care accurately.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to provide exceptional care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up, translating medical terminology as needed.
