Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Illinois seeks an RN OBGYN who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care for acutely ill patients using the nursing process. You will interact with patients and families, perform triage calls, and guide care based on ANA standards.

Current IL RN license and BLS are required; 2-3 year nursing program grads welcome, with BSN strongly preferred. Northwestern Medicine offers extensive benefits and professional development.

The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 (Hourly Rate) Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The RN OBGYN reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

This position is a clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
• Also responsible for phone triage, abnormal test result delivery and corresponding care instructions.

Qualifications

Required

• Current experience (within past five years) or new nursing graduate (within past two years)
• Graduate of accredited 2 or 3 year nursing program
• State of Illinois RN License
• BLS certification

Preferred

• One year's experience in pertinent clinical specialty
• Second language proficiency
• BSN strongly preferred upon hire
