Job summary

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Harper University Hospital in Detroit, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the OB/Gyn clinic. You will provide essential nursing care, collaborate with physicians, and support patients and families in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities include delegating and evaluating care, coordinating with the healthcare team, and preparing patients for discharge. A BSN is preferred and MI RN licensure is required, with AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.
