Copper Mountain College seeks an experienced part-time Nursing Instructor to deliver courses across Medical/Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Mental Health and Health Sciences. Responsibilities include meeting classes, maintaining office hours, advising students, and aligning instruction with COR standards.

Under administrative leadership, it is the responsibility of the part-time instructor to conduct assigned classes and support advancement of the values represented by the Vision Statement and Mission Statement of the District.
We are hiring to add to our Nursing Instructor pools in the following areas:
*Candidates will be considered for any specialty area based on qualifications*
Standards are established in accordance with the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges as adopted by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors for the discipline.
A master's degree or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education AND direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned, which can be met by: One (1) years continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area OR one (1) academic year of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrates clinical competency AND completion of at least one (1) year's experience teaching theory courses related to registered nursing.
An Associate degree with six (6) years experience, or a Bachelor's degree or higher with one (1) year continuous, full-time or equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in the designated nursing area.
OR One (1) academic year of Registered Nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrates clinical competency.
Master’s in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, nutrition or public health OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in any biological science OR the equivalent
PhD/EdD: $78.86/hour - Lecture. $63.53/hour - Lab.
MA/MS: $75.75/hour - Lecture. $61.02/hour - Lab.
BA/BS: $72.79/hour - Lecture. $58.63/hour - Lab.
