Job summary

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking a per diem Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced setting. The role supports experienced clinicians and reinforces patient-centered care across shifts within a major teaching hospital.

The ideal candidate holds an active NYS RN license, current BLS certification, and a BSN or higher when feasible, with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current NYS RN license is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Under the general supervision of the VP, Sr. Director and Directors is responsible for providing nursing care to the patients in the Emergency Department.

Qualifications

BASIC COMPETENCIES

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required; BSN preferred

Current NYS licensure as RN required

Current BLS certification required

Experience

Professional nursing experience appropriate to the service and the position
