Position Overview

RN‑Nurse Residency Unit, Nights at Piedmont – Athens, GA. 20‑bed Nurse Residency Unit serving 7 med/surg units. Part‑time nights 7pm‑7am. Sign‑on bonus available.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Residency Unit (NRU) provides training for new graduate nurses. Responsibilities include:

• Providing high‑quality care to acute‑care patients.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Coordinating patient‑care activities for assigned staff.
• Maintaining standards of practice and complying with policies and procedures.
• Using patient ratios as determined by volume and acuity.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required: Graduate of a nursing program.

Minimum Experience Required: New graduates of a nursing program eligible.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License and BLS certification.

Additional Qualifications:

• One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred for PRN positions.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable.
