Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administers medications as prescribed and monitors patient responses.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient including basic self-care activities.
• Delivers patient education and evaluates learning outcomes with family involvement.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs and coordinates post-discharge planning with social services.
• Maintains cost-conscious practices and efficient use of supplies and equipment.
• Prioritizes patient care to ensure safety and positive outcomes.
• Pursues lifelong learning related to the nursing profession.
