Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed practical or registered nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice. You will assist physicians in treatment, document clinical data, and uphold Mercy’s values of caring for the sick, respecting life, and preserving dignity.

This role requires an accredited nursing degree, an active state license in Oklahoma, and CPR certification or timely certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.
• CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
• Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice.
• Assist the physician in the treatment of patients and complete related clinical paperwork.
