Job summary

Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an RN Nurse Manager for the Labor and Delivery unit. This full-time leadership role guides a skilled team in a Magnet-designated hospital that delivers exceptional patient care to more than 2,200 newborns each year.

The candidate will lead a dynamic team of clinicians, collaborate with physicians and department managers, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited college or university is required.
• California RN license is required upon hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 4 years supervisory experience in an acute care hospital.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, plan, organize, and supervise personnel for the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Manage, report on, and provide resources for the LABOR & DELIVERY unit.
• Lead and communicate effectively with physicians, other department managers, and staff.

RN Nurse Manager of our Labor and Delivery unit at Providence Saint John's Health Centerin Santa Monica, CA. This is a full-time leadership position. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of best practice for quality delivery of care and patient safety in the Labor and Delivery unit. Will possess knowledgeable resource to staff, the ability to lead and communicate appropriately with physicians, other department managers, and staff are essential.

Under general direction, and in accordance with the State of California Nurse Practice Act, and the goals, objectives and strategic plan of the organization, to provide leadership, plan, organize, and supervise personnel; to manage, report on, and provide resources for the Labor and Delivery unit; and to perform related work as required.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, from an accredited college or university.
• Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 4 years Supervisory experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
