Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Nurse Consultant - RN to join our team. The role involves consulting with nursing facilities, conducting site visits, and performing Quality Assurance audits to support high-quality resident care.

You will ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, prepare reports, coordinate surveys, and assist facilities with plans of correction. A current NC RN license and strong leadership are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current North Carolina license.
• Must have an RN license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and renewal proof every other year.
• Willing to serve as Director of Nursing during vacancies.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to cooperate with nursing personnel and other departments.
• Ability to teach, instruct and direct orientation and continuing education.
• Must read, know, and follow policies and procedures and adhere to regulations for skilled nursing.
• Must have skilled nursing experience.
• Neat professional appearance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Consults with assigned nursing facilities on a routine basis.
• Assist in conducting site visits and other reviews as needed.
• conducts Quality Assurance Audits to aid in maintaining Quality Resident Care.
• Provides facility with a typed visit report and ensure written responses where required.
• Assist facility with regulatory agency compliance (OSHA, DHHS surveys, Medicaid, Medicare).
• Schedule Mock Surveys and coordinate survey team.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Compliance Consultant on weekly summary reports.
• Review and update policies according to state/federal requirements.
