HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital in Lehigh Acres, FL, is seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a procedural setting and join a team that values collaboration and patient advocacy.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, nursing diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and prior acute care experience.

Qualifications

  • Florida RN license (or compact licensure) with active FL RN license within 60 days of hire
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Prior acute care experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of invasive radiology patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
  • Assist physicians in procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is available and room is prepared for procedures.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.
  • Continuously assess and communicate patient condition; act appropriately.
  • Administer medications per physician orders

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:
  • You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.

  • You will assist physicians in procedures.

  • You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.

  • You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.

  • You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.

  • You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:
  • Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.

  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

  • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

  • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
