Job summary

Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, MS is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality care, collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team, and support patients and families throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.

The role requires 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, an active RN license in the U.S., and BCLS certification. ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• RN license in the United States.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, report changes to care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety practices.
• Document care promptly in medical records.
• Engage in professional development and quality improvements.
• Maintain attendance and compliance with policies.
• Administer medications and other treatments as prescribed (Critical Care, Telemetry, Orthopedics).
