Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare in Covington, GA is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, using your nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care within our established standards.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with eligibility for Georgia RN licensure, BCLS certification, and preferably a BSN. New graduates are welcome; hospital experience is preferred for PRN shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• No experience required; new graduates eligible.
• 1 year hospital experience preferred for PRN positions.
• RN license in Georgia (NLC/eNLC multistate) required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities among assigned staff.
• Support collaborative care within the organization’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
