Job summary

The RN Navigator will support groundbreaking research efforts, including registries and gene therapy studies. A BSN and Ohio RN license are required, with about five years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio.
• BSN required.
• Minimum five years nursing experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex patient populations across disciplines.
• Preferred pediatric hematology/oncology experience.
• Care management or nurse coordinator experience.
• Experience with genetic disorders, bone marrow failure, or research.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for a complex panel of approximately 230 pediatric patients with hematologic and rare genetic disorders.
• Partner with five physicians to manage patient care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Coordinate annual multidisciplinary appointments across multiple departments.
• Manage pending bone marrow procedures and laboratory testing.
• Review lab results and ensure timely follow-up with patients and families.
• Coordinate ongoing care for patients receiving transfusions and infusion therapies.
• Serve as a resource for genetic testing questions.
• Support research initiatives and patient registries.
