Job summary

IHA in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical guidelines and care paths for patients.

You will collaborate with the health care team, coordinate patient care, welcome calls, advocate for patients, educate families, review literature, and maintain a knowledge base of ongoing clinical research activities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program is required.
  • BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review literature, methodology, outcomes, and implications of nursing/medical research and disseminate findings.
  • Establish and maintain a knowledge base of ongoing clinical research activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Establish and maintain a knowledge base of on-going clinical research activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current/valid RN license from the state licensing board required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Mandatory Reporter for the appropriate patient population required.
  • Experience (required and preferred):
  • 1 year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting required.
