Job summary

Avera Health at the Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care and coordinate with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice and board certification as required by the facility.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis, objectives, and interventions while providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Reviews physician prescriptions, coordinates with the health care team, and ensures documentation of care plans and patient responses.
• Develops nursing care plans by taking histories, examining patients, and setting objectives and schedules with the care team.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care, answering questions and providing resources.
• Maintains infection-control practices, safe medication handling, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Documents care in patient records and ensures supplies and equipment are properly maintained.
