Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Staff Nurse to coordinate nursing care across the lifecycle, ensuring quality patient care and timely communication of clinical needs to leadership. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support patients from birth through adulthood in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires an active Georgia RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1–2 years of experience in cardiology, cath lab, interventional radiology, or emergency care.

Qualifications

• Proficient in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation using nursing processes.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and cardiovascular pharmacology.
• Experience with difficult IV access and emergent care situations.

Overview:

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

• Requirements and Qualifications

  Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

  Licensure: Active, unencumbered Georgia State Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license

  Required: BLS and ACLS certifications

  Required experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Emergency Department setting

  Skills: Expert knowledge of cardiac rhythms, cardiovascular pharmacology, and a high success rate with difficult IV sticks
