Mercy OKC is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby unit, supporting Obstetrics, Well Newborn Care, and the Post-W Women's Surgical area. The role emphasizes high-energy patient care, lactation support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and a current RN license in the hiring state or a compact license. Candidates must meet physical requirements including lifting 50 pounds and standing for extended

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds and to stand/walk for long shifts.
• NRP and BLS certifications (or must obtain within 30 days).
• Other unit-specific certifications as required or acquired within the department timeframe.

Overview

We are high-paced, high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby, Well Newborn Care along Post Women's Surgical unit.

Within Our Unit We Have

• 40-MB rooms
• 15-LDR rooms
• 14-High Risk Antepartum
• 8-bed OBED unit
• 4-LIBC Birthing Suites
• 4-Pre Post Rooms
• 3-OR suites (where we circulate all of our own cases)

Within our unit we also have full-time Lactation Consultants who see both inpatient and outpatients. Mercy OKC is the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and second leading in the Ministry. Our teams offer a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family's Women's Center.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Certifications:
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
  • Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe
