Job summary

Intermountain Health's St James Hospital in Butte, MT is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process. You will supervise LPNs/CNAs, participate in clinical team conferences, and ensure compliance with hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines.

The role requires a BSN within 4 years (or exemption for prior ASN/ADN), MT RN license, BLS on hire, ACLS within 9 months for ICU/ED, TNCC within 12 months, and oncology

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current Montana RN license and BLS required on hire.
• ACLS within 9 months for ICU/ED RNs; TNCC within 12 months; Oncology certification or 12 cancer credits yearly.

Job Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. Nurses employed by the Hospital on or before September 1, 2014 with only an ASN/ADN, will be exempt from the requirement to obtain a BSN. Any nurse hired by the hospital from September 2, 2014 through April 15, 2019 will have 5 years / 60 months from date of hire to obtain a BSN. Any nurse who takes legally protected leave during any of the completion periods may have the period extended by a comparable amount of time.Current State of Montana Registered Nurse LicenseBLS Certification upon hire.ACLS required within 9 months of hire for all ICU/ED RN’sOncology RN's-OCN certification or 12 credits of cancer related education per year.For all RN's working in the ICU / ED / 5th main, PALS required within 9 months of hire / transfer.TNCC within 12 months of transfer or hire for all ICU/ED/RNs.
