Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an RN for MICU3 on days to join a 16-bed high-acuity ICU unit in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role requires willingness to float to other units and hospitals with a 36-hour week and a schedule that includes holidays and alternating weekends.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in nursing, Alabama or compact RN license, and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications plus Red Cross; 2 years' experience preferred with 18 months considered for strong license holders. EMR: Meditech.

Qualifications

• Associated degree in nursing is required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH and Red Cross certifications are required.
• Alabama state or compact RN license required; no temporary licenses accepted.

Employment Type: Contract - In-Office

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL, United States

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals and accept 36 or 48 hours per week. Holidays and every other weekend required.

Responsibilities

The ICU team collaborates across disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Nurses provide complex monitoring and treatment for adult patients on the 16-bed high-acuity unit. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency and maintain a calm, safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Education & Qualifications

• Associated degree in nursing.

Certifications - Required

• AHA ACLS
• AHA BLS
• AHA NIH
• Red Cross

Certifications - Preferred

• PALS - if working in pediatric unit

Licenses - Required

• Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Nursys

Experience

At least 2 years' experience; 18 months can be considered if under the highest professional license and 1 year of recent experience in the specialty.
