LifeView Group, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for the Meridian Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program in Pensacola, FL.

The role supports adults and youths in a structured, 24-hour care environment with a focus on safety, assessment, treatment planning and direct service delivery. You must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Florida RN license, CPR certification, CPI training, and ability to work with behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Must have a valid Florida RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Competent in CPI behavior management techniques.
• Ability to provide integrated mental health and substance abuse services.
• Must be able to use a computer.
• Must be eligible to participate in Medicaid and similar programs.
• Must pass organization/state background screenings.

Responsibilities

The Meridian

Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP) that offers treatment to Medicaid and/or Medicaid eligible children with a serious emotional disturbance that requires treatment in a residential treatment center. The program provides mental health treatment for male and female children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 17 and utilizes a multi-disciplinary treatment approach with a focus on psychotherapeutic intervention in a structured, community living environment with 24-hour supervision. The program also provides substance abuse intervention services for children and adolescents who are at risk for substance abuse, and provides substance abuse treatment services for children and adolescents who have been identified as needing moderate substance abuse and related‑problem treatment.

Overview

Primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge (License), and to use such advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing the highest quality client-centered therapeutic services to mental health, substance abuse, or developmentally disabled clients. Must also use such advanced knowledge and experience to serve as a consultant and mentor to other medical/non-medical direct care employees. This position is entrusted with the highest level of responsibility and insight in treating clients and ensuring services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, in addition to LCI and division standards. Based on the knowledge and degree required, this position will serve as a lead position in the provision of direct care. Services include but are not limited to, assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person centered services using specialized knowledge and skills and management of client risk and safety.

Role Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Must have a valid license as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
• Must be certified in CPR.
• Must be able to effectively perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
• Must be able to use a computer.
• Must be eligible to participate in state or federally funded programs such as Medicaid.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $27.40 - $33.55 an hour based on experience. Shift differential pay ($6.00 - $10.00) is available when applicable.
