Job summary

VA Midwest Health Care Network seeks a Registered Nurse for its Mental Health RRTP in a residential setting. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, utilizing patient histories and physical assessments to guide treatment.

Responsibilities include crisis response, 1:1 observation, and interprofessional collaboration to ensure safe transitions of care. Extensive licensing and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the United States.
• Graduate of an ACEN/CCNE accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• English language proficiency for direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care based on patient history and assessments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of crisis response policies and mentor less experienced staff.
• Perform 1:1 observation and manage high risk patients as needed.
• Use assessment tools (CIWA, AIMS, COWS) to delineate patient needs.
• Document and coordinate care using PMDB techniques and resources.
