GIT is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry/Medical-Surgical care in Chicago, IL. This full-time, in-person role focuses on monitoring, assessment, and treatment of cardiac and medical conditions with a patient-centered approach.

You will leverage critical thinking to provide safe care, document in the EHR, educate patients, and lead assigned support personnel while ensuring unit operations comply with standards and policies. Vaccination is required.

Qualificações

• Education: Associate degree from a professional nursing program required; BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Illinois.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Telemetry/Med-Surg.
• COVID-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care using critical thinking and advocacy abilities.
• Manage clinical operations of the unit while assuring compliance with professional, regulatory, governmental, and organizational standards.
• Assess physiologic and psychosocial changes in patient condition and report findings to physicians.
• Perform interventions based on identified priorities, care plans, infection control, and hospital policies.
• Educate patients on lifestyle changes, diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions prior to hospital discharge.
• Document observations and patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in interdisciplinary patient care.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture or micro techniques for laboratory analysis.
• Actively participate in Quality Assurance and Process Improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety.

• Position: Registered Nurse - Telemetry / Med-Surg
• Role Type: Full-Time | In Person (Chicago, IL)
• Experience Required: 1 - 15 Years (Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty required)
• Compensation: USD 65,000 - 93,000 per annum -(Bonus Eligible)
• Shift Details: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree from a professional nursing program required; BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program preferred.
• Licensure & Certifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Illinois.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Telemetry/Med-Surg.
