Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Orthopedics/Medsurg department on nights (7p-7a) with a sign-on bonus. The registered nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care, follow nursing processes, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

GA-licensed RNs with BLS are required; BSN preferred and specialty certification encouraged. Prior hospital experience is beneficial for PRN postings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced certification a plus.
• One year of hospital nursing experience preferred for PRN roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice within organizational policies.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR: The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

• Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.
• ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Bachelor?s degree preferred
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
