Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, applying nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care within organizational policies.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Georgia RN licensure (or multistate license), BCLS, and a willingness to work in a hospital setting. New graduates are welcome; prior hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• No experience required; new graduates eligible.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred.
• RN license in Georgia or multistate license required.
• BCLS certification required.
• Advanced certification in specialty area if applicable.

He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
