Job summary

CHI Health Schuyler is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to diverse patient populations. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Eligible candidates will have an RN license for Nebraska, BLS CPR at hire, and ACLS/PALS/NRP within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an RN nursing program and must obtain Nebraska RN license on hire.
  • BLS CPR certification required at hire; ACLS, PALS, and NRP within stated timeframes.
  • Ability to perform and document comprehensive patient assessments and care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for each patient.
  • Collect, analyze, and document patient data including clinical, psychosocial, and family factors.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
  • Coordinate care, provide education, and participate in discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing activities.

  • Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
  • Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors
  • Plan - Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team.
  • Implement - Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed.
  • Evaluate - Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer's record.

  • Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 5 - months and
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 5 - months and
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months
