Job summary

North Country HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a dedicated RN to join our Medication Administration Department. You will administer medications accurately and safely, collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team to ensure compliant, high-quality patient care.

The role requires NH RN license, a nursing degree, 1–2 years of relevant experience, strong pharmacology knowledge, and proficiency with EMR systems. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 1–2 years of nursing experience (medication administration or acute care preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and medication administration technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Verify medication orders, dosages, and patient information to prevent errors.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic responses and adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Educate patients and families on medications, side effects, and adherence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to medication safety.
